Electric workstations to adapt to the operator’s working environment

The operator is at the heart of the organisation, with several duties which they must perform such as production, level 1 maintenance and quality control. These different tasks require specific positions depending on the workstation used, and the environment is often poorly adapted to individuals. Bad posture limits operator working capacity, endangers health and results in reduced performance. An adjustable electric workstation is an excellent way to avoid this. Our range contains two different electric workstations: the QUALIPOST 620 ERGO and the QUALIPOST 3200 ERGO, both offering multiple possible combinations to arrange your workstation to your taste. Equipped with telescopic columns controlled by electric actuators, the ergonomic working tables can be quickly adjusted to the desired height. Using a control button, you can precisely adjust your working surface, adapting it to your height and the tasks performed. As an example: precision work such as the careful assembly of a product requires the workstation to be adjusted to a height around 5 cm under the employee’s elbow. However demanding work requires a much lower working surface. The electric industrial workstations ensure greater employee comfort and allow them to change between a sitting, standing/sitting and standing position.

You can personalise your sit-stand workstations depending on your respective tasks (maintenance, assembly, packaging, etc.) with an enamel backing, perforated backing or simply with an aluminium frame with a multi-purpose bar. Ergonomics requires both a workstation adapted to the operator and appropriate furniture meeting certain criteria. This is the case for height-adjustable electric desks. They are an ideal ergonomic combination when used with a standing chair. Working when sitting down can be the cause of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), which is why chairs must also take the type of work performed into consideration (repetitive movements, still or moving, etc.) to find the chair best suited to your workstation. They are used to create a cleaning point, which is required to establish a 5S site as part of an effective LEAN approach. The purpose of 5S is to remove unnecessary items, find a place for everything, avoid sources of contamination, keep things clean and tidy and respect the rules established to improve. The 5S cleaning stations play a core role in this initiative.
At its core, the 5S Cleaning Station comprises designated areas equipped with all necessary supplies for cleaning and maintenance tasks. These may include brooms, mops, cleaning solutions, wipes, and waste disposal bins. For example, the NETPOST 400 is a wall-mounted model which is extremely practical when space is limited. The 5S mobile cleaning station - NETPOST 600 - ensures ergonomic use of cleaning tools. The NETPOST 800 has a transparent PMMA door secured with a magnet. All of these products are registered designs with a 2-year warranty.
Employees are encouraged to utilize the station as part of their daily routines, incorporating cleaning activities seamlessly into their work processes. This integration not only ensures a clean work environment but also contributes to the overall efficiency of the value stream.

As close to the field, our observations and analyses have led us to create a range of ESD products. Indeed, the damage caused by electrostatic discharges, even of low voltage, generate significant non-quality costs for the customer as well as for the manufacturer. These phenomena are invisible and difficult to detect on finished products. They affect in the more or less long term the reliability of the product by deteriorating sensitive components.

What is ESD?

ESD is the abbreviation for "Electro Static Discharge". Static electricity discharges are physical phenomena that occur every day when two bodies are charged differently. One unloads on the other. The term is often used in industry to describe unwanted stealth currents that can damage electronic equipment.

Why set up an EPA work zone

While most of the time, these discharges go unnoticed and are harmless to humans (90% of electrostatic discharges are less than 3000 V), the effect they can have on hardware, electrical or electronic components such as semiconductors is disastrous. The cost of failures caused by ESD is estimated at several million euros in France per year. These costs include claims, diagnostics, repair costs, loss of image of the company.

This is why when the risks of electrostatic dischargehave identifieds, it is important to put in place preventive measures. It is recommended to install EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) work zones: it is a delimited area protected from electrostatic discharge. This area can be a worktop, an island, a room, or even a building. Only persons authorized and equipped with grounding devices (bracelets, shoes or heels, appropriate work clothes) are admitted to this zone. The ideal solution is to provide: on the ground, an ESD coating or mat on which the operator can be unloaded, asemiconductor workstation by its nature or equipped with one or more ESD coatings as needed, abracelet-type device that the operator will wear tightly on the wrist and a connection to the ground. The EPA must present signage that clearly identifies its location and boundaries. To delimit and identify this area, we have in our range a specific ESD marking strip and adhesive pictograms.
